Happy Valentine's Day ... What I'm doing for myself and my family!

Have a great day today ... do something truly romantic with your partner, good friends and family. I suppose there are many ways to define that word - romantic - and I choose ... do something from the heart. I'm so grateful for all the wonderful people in my life ... thank you so much for your love and friendship.

I wanted to share something with you today that has been on my mind of late and that is my health. I know the best thing I can do for myself and my family is to care for my body and, well, I've managed to reverse some of the weight loss from a year ago. So, about a week ago, a friend suggested a plan that targets the stored fat that shows up in men's bellies and around the hips and bottoms of women. This fat is toxic junk that our body hangs on to just in case we starve and not the most likely thing to go with most traditional diets. The research on this method was published about 40 years ago and I thought I'd give it a try.  I have not written much on what has happened until this morning ... to quote one line, "the fat seems to be dripping off of me."

If you find this of interest, have a look at the email I sent this morning that describes my thoughts after 7 days.

Little Things make a BIG Difference

Now that we are a month into the New Year ... I found myself happily reminded of how lasting change occurs. The following passage is an observation made by Buckminster Fuller, you know, the geodesic dome guy, mathematician and MENSA President. We have 11 months to implement the ideas we found so stimulating just 30 days ago. Here's the best way I know to get there ...

“Something hit me very hard once, thinking about what one little man could do. Think of the Queen Mary — the whole ship goes by and then comes the rudder. And there's a tiny thing at the edge of the rudder called a trimtab.
It's a miniature rudder. Just moving the little trim tab builds a low pressure that pulls the rudder around. Takes almost no effort at all. So I said that the little individual can be a trimtab.
Society thinks it's going right by you, that it's left you altogether. But if you're doing dynamic things mentally, the fact is that you can just put your foot out like that and the whole big ship of state is going to go.
So I said, call me Trimtab.” - R. Buckminster Fuller

What do Warren Buffet, Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump have in common?

What do these three guys have in common ... aside from their wealth that is! Have a listen to this video.

I've been working with Isagenix for about 10 years now, using their products daily, telling a few that inquire about how I lost 60 pounds in a year, avoid the flu, and minimized a high blood pressure diagnosis. I injured a knee last year and lost focus but I am now ready to crank up another round of daily exercise and a sensible, nutritious meal plan. I have never paid much attention to the business side of this company until the economy encouraged me to supplement my income ... trouble is, I always felt a little reluctant to talk about what everyone translates to, "isn't that one of those pyramid things?"

The video has some humorous yet thoughtful responses on the subject of Network Marketing and prompted this post. If you are interested in a way to bring some sound nutrition into your home, start a business that requires $19 in start up capital and will deliver a supplement or more to your income ... let me know! I was initially drawn to the company because of the founder ... here's a guy that is dedicated to formulating the best products possible. I've used them all and there is not a dud on the order sheet. Natural products for weight loss, nutrition, and skin care.

Yep, another first day of the rest of my life and there is no time like the present to make a difference. Jump on board with me today and we will not only be looking better in a swim suit this summer but we will also have some cash for some tropical sun! Check out my Isagenix site if you like and be in touch soon!

Great News for Legal Eagles...

Ok, I know ... why am I on a Sports Talk Radio Network and what's this about "legal."  For the past year, I've been working with a great guy in the Washington D.C. area and our one hour show just bumped up to two hours and can be heard live on Saturdays from 10AM - Noon, Eastern Standard.

The great guy I speak of is attorney Paul Samakow and, with Paul, I co-host Samakow Law, a show that takes a look at all things legal. We concentrate on legal news and issues that affect our daily lives. My role is as a listener with a microphone as we sort out things like the WikiLeaks controversy, TSA screening, same sex marriage, decriminalizing marijuana, the death penalty, OnLine Privacy, Identity Theft and we mix it up with Celebrity screw ups that hopefully help us make better decisions.  You can hear the show live or check out the replays.  (I do not have all the links up yet for the archived shows but they will be coming soon!)

As for why a Sports Talk network...well, the radio industry in crazy and our home station flipped formats a few weeks back and both of us kind of like saying, "coming up next on SportsTalk 570."  Besides, the new management wanted to keep us!

Breaking NEWS....Palin targeted Democrat shot...

Well, I'm not going to post her picture or her map and the story is sickening ...  that's for sure!  Whatever your political affiliation, reckless behavior when you have reached a national, maybe international platform is careless and, in this case hopefully, subject to legal consequences. They say there is no way to connect the shooting of Arizona Congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords but take a look at Palin's list of targeted Democrats - a U.S. map highlighted with cross hairs, and you begin to wonder. Regardless, the March 2010 list of 20 gun sights pointing out Health Care Reform supporters has to have the individuals and their families more concerned than ever.

Maybe someone should send Palin's political action committee a note about responsible use of the internet. File this one under - this is what happens when someone with no business in politics is given a voice.
